Tip#1253: The Recipe For Resilience, Part 59 – Born a Champion

This is Day 488 of the COVID-19 pandemic here in Toronto, Canada.

My apologies to everyone who looks forward to my weekly blog posts. For the past two weeks I haven’t been able to write a post. Painful realizations have happened in my life and it is vital that I take steps for necessary changes. So I’m not sure about the future of this blog.

One of these changes was needing to find another email services for subscribers of this blog. Thankfully I found one and it’s called: follow.it. I have also been focusing my attention on building a career as a Social Media Influencer (or Foodie Influencer) as I create daily content for my two inspirational Instagram accounts.

I encouraging you to follow me:

• Movies for Motivation: @moviesformotivation

I am also grateful that recently the universe answered my prayers for help and guided me to watch a new movie. It immediately grabbed my heart and delivered important messages that I needed to hear.

Born a Champion (2021)

The martial arts drama, Born a Champion, is about Mickey Kelley (Sean Patrick Flanery), one of the first American black belts in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, gets pulled away from everything he loves and into an unsanctioned MMA (mixed martial arts) tournament. This powerful, heartfelt life adventure also stars Dennis Quaid, Katrina Bowden and Maurice Compte.

I instantly fell in love with this powerful movie and if I could pick the next Best Picture for an Oscar it would be Born a Champion! The movie hero Mickey was brimming with calm confidence, martial arts skills and courage. Most of all, his passion for his family and friendships really moved me. The film is also full of life lessons for redemption, fatherhood, perseverance and resilience while standing up to bullies. I highly recommend seeing this amazing film!

Life always seems to throw us unexpected changes. Thankfully there are many inspirational films that provide heroes that demonstrate the courage and resilience we’ll need to get through our own challenges. Find a film today to mirror your own inner hero!
