Tip#1251: The Recipe For Resilience, Part 57 – The Celestine Prophecy

This is Day 453 of the COVID-19 pandemic here in Toronto, Canada.

I've been working to solve a problem that’s long overdue. I am excited and a little frightened because it will mean a big career and lifestyle change. At the same time I also know that the right people and the right steps will synchronistically present themselves at the right time.

Back in 1994 I had a big life change when someone recommended I read the book The Celestine Prophecy. I didn’t know at the time but it was the beginning of a spiritual awakening for me that opened my eyes to many mind blowing ideas such as that people either give or steal energy (an energy that can be visible) from other people.

The book helped me deal with or eliminate many energy vampires in my life since then. The book also opened me up to the concept that there are no coincidences and that recognizing and acting on messages from people or synchronistic signs were part of the steps for achieving a goal or solving a problem. So it wasn't a coincidence that I was finally led to watching the film based on the book!

The Celestine Prophecy (2006)

The mystical adventure film, The Celestine Prophecy, is based on James Redfield's best-selling novel of the same name about school teacher, John Woodson, (Matthew Settle) who is led on a life changing journey to Peru to discover the mystery of 9 ancient scrolls rumoured to reveal the future of humanity. This thought provoking movie also stars John Thomas Kretschmann, Sarah Wayne Callies, Annabeth Gish, Héctor Elizondo, Joaquim de Almeida and Jürgen Prochnow.

Watching this film was a very emotional experience because it re-ignited memories of reading the book and how the insights profoundly helped me for over 25 years. Through the movie hero, I got to revisit the insights and also see many recognizable movie and TV actors play the characters that helped him on each step of his journey. It was a reminder that there are no coincidences in life and to believe and have faith that answers will arrive. But it was also a reminder that I needed to do better with the insights.

I was a massive fan of The Celestine Prophecy book and put into practice all the life lessons it outlined. Strangely, when the film was released in 2006 I didn’t feel compelled to watch it. I tried to watch it over the years but couldn’t because it simply didn’t feel right. I trusted my intuition, which was one of the 9 insights. And now I finally get to share my enthusiasm for this film and recommend that you see it too if you have an open mind for these powerful, metaphysical life lessons!

Movies with inspirational messages can come to you just when you need them the most. You just have to be open and alert for when they arrive. Messages can also come through synchronistic events and chance encounters to someone. All you have to do when this happens is trust your intuition and take action.

Your intuition is also referred to a gut feeling and the stomach is actually known as our second brain. So trust your gut today and allow the universe to give you the answers you’ve been looking for!

“I could describe these insights to you right now and you would hear my words but you have to do more than that. You have to experience it for yourself. The prophecies have to happen to you.”
