This week I found myself highly focused and goal-oriented on re-balancing my diet by eating more live foods like fruits and vegetables. I’ve been overindulging in heavy comfort foods since quarantine started eight weeks ago and have been feeling sluggish along with other depression-like symptoms. But now I’m enjoying juicy red grapes, navel oranges and bananas plus lots of veggies like broccoli, spinach, zucchini, eggplant, orange peppers, peas, onions and garlic. I could feel my body smiling and thanking me!
All this actually started after my teeth began to feel sensitive over the past several weeks and I started researching how to re-mineralize my teeth and enamel. I was excited about YouTube video stories I found like this one by Kathleen Black.

The bonus is this newfound focus and drive can only result in helping me feel stronger in body, mind and spirit! This positive feeling also mirrored the movie hero of a trilogy I was drawn to re-watching this week. The hero inspired me with his incredible sense of inner and outer strength, resilience and an elevated, super calm confidence in himself!
Pitch Black (2000)
The science fiction, action horror film, Pitch Black, is about spaceship passengers stranded on a planet inhabited by nocturnal monsters and the only person they can rely on is a dangerous convict named Richard B Riddick (Vin Diesel). This riveting, race-against time story also stars Radha Mitchell, Cole Hauser, and Keith David.

When I first saw this film I was immediately intrigued by how calmly confident Riddick was. Every time he opened his mouth he spoke with few words and was so direct to the point. He was also funny too! He was tenacious and was extremely fearless whenever he faced conflicts with fellow humans or the vicious alien monsters he had to battle.
The Chronicles of Riddick (2004)
The science fiction action film, The Chronicles of Riddick, follows the adventures of Richard B. Riddick (Vin Diesel) who must face bounty hunters and Necromongers, an evil race systematically conquering planets. This epic adventure is filled with exciting visuals, costumes and sets and also stars Colm Feore, Thandie Newton, Judi Dench, Karl Urban and Alexa Davalos.

This chapter is on such a grand, epic scale and yet that didn’t overshadow Riddick’s personality strengths of a confident, courageous anti-hero (or hero depending on how you look at him). This time he faces overwhelming armies and is seemingly trapped in inescapable planets. His incredible resilience and perseverance, once again, is explosive and thrilling to watch.

The science fiction action film, Riddick, is about Richard B. Riddick (Vin Diesel) injured and stranded on a sun-scorched planet and is fighting to survive and escape from, alien wolves, aquatic monsters and two sets of bounty hunter teams. In this chapter, Riddick, is shown demonstrating even more extreme examples of resilience and demonstrates his ability to be resourceful and use strategic thinking to help himself escape a desolate planet. His confidence even amazes his enemies who later follow him as a leader during a life and death crisis.
