Tip#963: Great Teamwork Movies, Part 11 - Money Monster

I’ve been feeling extremely blessed and grateful for several close friends recently! For over a decade we’ve helped each other through life challenges, relationships and with each of our careers. One friend treated me to a thrilling supermarket shopping spree where she introduced me to the nutritional deliciousness of beet greens and Swiss chard! Whereas another friend I had helped with their social media photos introduced me to the 7-minute workout app!

Thanks to their knowledge and insights I continue to feel better and better as well as transform my lifestyle for achieving my wellness goals. And I love when I can be of service to them whether it is offering my knowledge and skills when they need it most or just helping motivate them forward. They always remind me that we are part of each other's team and that this is what team spirit is all about!

Money Monster (2016)

The thriller film, Money Monster, is about a live TV show of the same name suddenly taken over by angry investor Kyle Budwell (Jack O’Connell) and holds it’s host, Lee Gates (George Clooney), hostage. This riveting story also has splashes of humour and strong performances by Clooney, O’Connell and Julia Roberts as the show’s director Patty Fenn. Plus it was fun to see Clooney shake his booty! As the intense drama unfolds you see how Lee and Patty adapt to the unexpected crisis. Thanks to an earpiece Lee is wearing, Patty can help direct him to stay calm and manage the disgruntled Kyle. She is constantly reminding Lee about his own communication skills and soon reclaims a confident, leadership role.

What was also inspiring to watch was how one cameraman named Lenny (Lenny Venito) maintains his position and responsibilities despite this life threaten situation. He continues to do his job to the best of his abilities and with courage and confidence! These characters all demonstrate excellent examples of teamwork in the face of adversity and can be an inspirational mirror for your own success in the workplace.

“I was just doing my job. I don’t quit until the director tells me to.”
