Tip#423: Allow New People Into Your Life – Despicable Me

I feel new energy and new people have come into my life. My financial collapse last year has helped me learn to let go and purge both physically, mentally, emotionally and materially. Losing my home forced me to give away furniture and clothing freeing me from the old energy of my past. I also had to let go of "friends" who chose not to extend a helping hand during my time of crisis.

Letting go of all these elements from my old life made room for new, meaningful relationships. These new angels supported me during very challenging times. They helped me in so many unexpected ways that it reaffirmed my belief that people are a primary key to achieving the dreams and goals one desires.

Despicable Me 2010

The animated movie Despicable Me is about a criminal mastermind named Gru (Steve Carrell) who has a scheme to steal the moon. He's had this dream since he was a child and now endeavors to be the greatest super-villain in the world.

In order to do this Gru pretends to adopt 3 little orphaned girls to help him gain access to a "shrinking ray". At first Gru found them irritating and annoying and did not behave as a loving guardian. But by allowing these new children into his life his attitude slowly changed.

By spending time together, like attending an amusement park and asking Gru to read them bedtime stories, the girls begin to transform his nasty attitude and opened Gru's heart. He ended up making them more important than his original dreams.

Keep an open mind and heart when new people come into your life. Some individuals may be irritating at first or may have opposing views. Do your best to have an optimistic mindset and see the hidden gifts they are bringing. They may have the key to what you’ve been truly searching for.
