This week I had a breakthrough for coping with an unexpected anxiety trigger. I had to face a form of consistent bullying via email and had experienced fear and overwhelming anxiety. And yet I knew there was a silver lining buried underneath and realized this was a perfect opportunity to apply the teachings of Researcher, Author & Lecturer, Dr. Joe Dispenza that I mentioned in previous tip#1040.
Dr. Joe reminded me of what I’d been learning all these years and it's that current anxiety triggers are actually activating an older unresolved issue that the body and subconscious still remembers. The pain I felt was really from the past. So the first part of transforming the negative energy and feeling better was to watch Dr. Joe interviews and lectures on Youtube to understand the scientific details of how the mind and body retains and traps these painful past experiences. Then the second part was to implement his two guided meditation recordings from his book You Are the Placebo on a daily basis.

It took a deep dedication to this new daily process of meditations but it really helped me find my courage and confidence to face the current triggers and take steps to resolve them. When I had my breakthrough it really felt fantastic! I just felt like I was free of some monstrous trap. I was so aware that I felt no emotional charge anymore from the emails! Soon after I discovered the following movie that mirrored my experience.
Colossal (2017)
The science fiction comedy film, Colossal, is about Gloria (Anne Hathaway) who is an out-of-work party girl returning to her hometown and faces the shocking news reports of a giant creature terrorizing Seoul. This bizarre yet funny and engaging movie is a unique cinematic story with great performances by Hathaway and Jason Sudeikis. See movie trailer
If you feel adventurous and want something different in a movie I highly recommend you see Colossal.
