Tip#527: There Are Heroes Around You, Part 2 - Gandhi

I have 3 friends that have been on my mind recently because of their incredible resilience, courage and strength. They have been inspiring me with the challenges they've endured or are enduring now. One is my friend and business coach Patrick Bizandavyi who was able to stay positive during the killings in his hometown Burundi during the times of the Hotel Rwanda film. Read more in tip#523

The other is Robin Noble, travel and wellness consultant of Noble Destinations. She had survived a devastating car accident years ago and shattered many bones throughout her body and face. After a long journey she successfully learned how to walk and talk again.

And then there's Lynn Manwar whom I featured in Part 1 for overcoming many health challenges over the years like thyroid cancer (read more in tip#361). Recently she's been showing great courage during more chemotherapy. Her positive energy in her voice is very inspiring and she is documenting her journey and wellness tips on Facebook and her blog called Wellness Detective. See blog: click here

Gandhi 1982

The biographical film Gandhi is based on the life of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (Ben Kingsley) who led the nonviolent resistance movement against British colonial rule in India. Through many years Gandhi demonstrated many great leadership qualities such as courage, focus, optimism, passion, perseverance, resilience and vision.

Gandhi had a vision for a better world and never gave up despite all the years of adversity he faced. Even during his hunger strikes he believed that by being a living example he could help transform the negative mindsets of his own people. Gandhi was a true hero whose legacy of strength continues to inspire through this movie and his actions while alive.

Be inspired by movie heroes and real-life heroes already around you. Listen to stories of someone you know who has faced adversity with courage. Listen to the keys that helped them persevere and maintain their optimism. Their stories are there to mirror your own potential for greatness. Be open to your greatness!
